Fenix LD15 is the perfect portable AA flashlight in a very small size. Since one AA battery delivers 3 times the electrical volume of one AAA battery, the LD15 offers a brighter beam and much longer runtime with the advanced lighting technology.
Furthermore, the design featuring two modes of output, not only provides easy operation, but also strikes a delicate balance between the important dual requirements of high brightness and extended runtime. If you're looking for a powerful, long running Every Day Carry (EDC) flashlight in the smallest size, LD15 is your perfect companion.

The fenix LD15 is a very bright light but I should have tried to find out the features because I was looking for alittle bigger light that uses only one AA battery and has a push button ON/OFF switch. I orderd 2 lights and I am satisfied with it but one does not work anymore after I let my 8 year old son use it while we were catching opai but I really like the Fenix light and I am still looking for the Fenix light with the features I want.

Very happy with the LD15 with the Cree XP-E. This was the smallest, high-quality, single AA flashlight with the best lumens at a reasonable price point. It meets my needs for a small, "toss in the pocket" flashlight to have available when anticipating being out at night. I am careful to mix it up with keys, knives, or other metal.
Why is it tactical? It will temporarily blind someone on the high setting with 117 lumens.
I also carry a plastic micro Photo II on my keychain all the time. I don't carry the LD15 on my keychain to protect it from scratches, and during the day I don't need it. My other EDC for nighttime use is the LD22 and for hiking/camping an AAA headlamp. All use AA or AAA batteries. I'm using the Imedion and Powerex rechargeable batteries with the LaCross BC-700 charger giving me a good overall system that saves money on batteries, and precious resources.

I have bought in total about 16 flash lights from Fenix, all great, the LD15 is no exception, a really nice and bright white/light everyday carry, uses AA batterie, can be bought anywhere cheap. but the light is well worth the money and then some.
