Search and Rescue Flashlights
When it comes to search and rescue, specific flashlight features are required to ensure the job gets done. While searchers may start looking while it's daytime, it can quickly turn to dark which means a flashlight is imperative. Search and rescue flashlights need to be compact enough that they can be carried easily such as on a tactical vest or in a holster. Many search-and-rescue operations happen in the wilderness but also in areas where natural disaster may have struck. For example, a fallen building in an urban environment may require a search and rescue team.
Because of this range of use, it's good to have a beam that's a bit more versatile. A tight beam with a longer range to it may serve better in heavily wooded areas whereas a flood beam may serve better in more open areas. Fenix offers flashlights that have narrow beams with massive beam distances as well as lights with flood beams that can illuminate a wide area. They also offer flashlights that feature a balance between the two types of beams.
Searchers don't know how long they'll be out searching for, so it's crucial to have a bright flashlight that can last as long as possible. Fenix ensures that their flashlights have good run times to provide searchers with the power they need for however long they need it.
Ultra Bright Flashlights
Tactical users, everyday carry users, and flashlight enthusiasts may want extremely bright flashlights. Fenix continues to produce compact flashlights that deliver more power. In this section, you can find everyday carry flashlights with extremely high outputs. These lights are compact enough to carry with you daily while giving you the power of a larger flashlight.
Fenix offers tactical flashlights that are perfect for law enforcement officers who need bright and reliable illumination tools. These tactical flashlights go above and beyond with features that are tailored to law enforcement needs paired with an ultra bright beam.
Rechargeable Flashlights
Many of the Fenix lights found in this section are rechargeable making them more convenient to use frequently. With rechargeable flashlights, there’s no worrying about changing out the battery or having multiple backup batteries like you would with alkaline batteries or lithium batteries. Most of these Fenix flashlights will run on rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. These are powerful batteries that help flashlights deliver high outputs and long run times.
Some flashlights that run on 18650 batteries are also able to run on CR123 batteries. So if you prefer using CR123 batteries, you can still find Fenix flashlights that use them. However, you won't be able to use the charging function on a rechargeable Fenix flashlight while using CR123 batteries.
Fenix rechargeable flashlights charge in different ways. Some will use micro-USB, some will use USB type-C, and some will use proprietary cables and chargers. If you have a preference as to which rechargeable flashlights you would like to use, make sure to look thoroughly through the section to find the perfect Fenix flashlight for you.
