Best Flashlights And Lanterns for Outdoors and Survival

Hello, and welcome again to Fenix-store.com for a continuation of our series about how to find the best survival flashlight for your purposes. This'll be, of course, great for camping or hiking, or even if just the power goes out at your house. These are all going to be very great models, and with a focus on long run times, even on lower settings, and then a lot of them you'll see have this SOS mode for signaling and that kind of thing. It's very useful. So let's get right into it.

First we have the Fenix E25 flashlight. Now this light retails for $49.95, and has a maximum output of 1,000 lumens using a 14500 rechargeable battery. However, it also has the added benefit of being able to use AA batteries as well, which are very easy to find, very easy to store, and pack with you, if you're going out. The Fenix E25 does also have an SOS mode. Using the eco-setting as we discussed, one of the great things about a survival light is its long run time. Using the eco-setting on the Fenix E25 UE at 5 lumens, this light will last you up to 100 hours with nickel metal hydride batteries. It's a very good amount of run time, especially when it's very easy to trade those batteries out, or charge them up. Especially if you have, maybe a solar panel, a charger or a solar panel to hook up to a charger. It would give you a really great amount of light for a very long period of time.

Next, we'll change gears here a little bit, and go over the CL25R lantern. As you can imagine, this a camping lantern. This retail for $59.95 and offers a maximum output of 250 lumens. Now, opposed to other regular hand flashlights, the CL254 lantern will have focus on a flood light. Again the output maximum is 350 lumens. That will last you for about two hours using the included 18650 battery, but you also have the option to use the incredible moonlight setting of .8 lumens. That will last you and incredible 600 hours. That is just unheard of for the amount of time that this lantern is going to keep lit up. That will be great to use at a campsite or especially if you're at home and your power goes out or something like that. That will really change things for the better, you will not be left in the dark for 600 hours. That's plenty of time to find an alternative energy source to recharge batteries or for the power to come back on.

Next, there is also another camping lantern. This is the Fenix CL30R. This retails at $109.95 and has a maximum output of 650 lumens. Using the eco-setting at 10 lumens, this is going to last you up to 400 hours using 3500 milliamp 18650 batteries. So, it's a pretty incredible amount of light, again. And at 650 lumens with a huge amount of flood, it is gonna be just excellent. And to last you for about 400 hours, that's gonna, again, just like the CL25R, that'll give you plenty of time to find another way to charge those batteries back up, or for the lights to come back on. And, the Fenix CL30R does have the added benefit of doubling as a power bank. You can actually charge other devices like a cell phone or tablet, or that kind of thing from the batteries that are in the CL30R. That gives you an extra option if you just have your CL30R there, but you realize you really need your phone, maybe to make a call or something like that, you can charge the phon up from the CL30R itself, which makes this just really, it's very possibly the survival flashlight that Fenix has to offer at this time, simply because of the long run time, huge amount of maximum output, and that power bank feature.

Lastly we have the Fenix UC35 V2.0. This is a brand new upgrade, just came out, less than a month ago, maybe two weeks ago. This is the version 2.0 of the classic UC35 flashlight. This light will retail at $89.95 and is going to offer you a maximum output of 1,000 lumens, but that is not all. It will offer a moonlight mode at 1 lumen, for 800 hours. Just like the CL25R, this is an incredible amount of time to be having any amount of light. That is just so much time for you to find a better option, find your way out of the woods, wait for the power to come back on, any of these things. And the UC35 is Micro-USB rechargeable, so, just like with the lanterns, if you have some sort of recharging device, especially like a solar panel, then you can really use this as the best survival flashlight, because, in combination with the solar panel, you have near infinite amounts of energy because the light itself, the UC35, the light does recharge with the Micro-USB port directly. So you don't need any extra chargers or anything like that. It is all good to go, right there in one package.
