Fenix E18R V2 Rechargeable

"I was disappointed in this particular flashlight. I'm a big fan of Fenix products and have several of the earlier pocket sized Fenix lights. I'm still using the older ones because I was disappointed with this new one. The main deal killer for me is that there is not protection "collar" around the on/off button. Because the button has no protection, if the light is in my pocket then it will always come on in my pocket. Even if I use the clip, then it will usually still come on in my pocket. Just give that button some protection like the older E18 series and they'd have a super flashlight. As it is now, because of it always turning on in my pocket, I've stopped using this one."

Good Light by I like my E-18R (v1) better

"I had the 1st version of the E18R and loved it except for some battery issues. I like this one too. For a pinky sized light, I'd never expect it to be so bright. (I write bad poetry as a side gig. ) I like that this version replaced the proprietary magnetic charger with a common USB-C. While I initially loved the magnetic charger, it required carrying the unique cord with me. Now I can use a ubiquitous USB-C cable. This version is slightly longer, which is okay, but I did love the mini size of v1. You can see the comparison throw, candela and lumen data in the image"

Not impressed

"I had the e-16 for nearly a decade a pure workhorse of an edc light so when it finally gave up I can't back to Fenix and bought it's replacement had it around a month I've had 3 times already where it just refused to turn on for no reason it doesn't work with normal r123 batteries you can buy with the button switch on the side of the clip gets moved to the side it will just turn on in your pocket the charging point on the side worries me about moisture and debris in the long run I just don't believe I will get the life out of this light compared to my old E-16 if I had it to do again I'm afraid I would have looked at other manufacturers instead of just blindly buying this due to it's name sake"

Junk

"As others have stated the light turns on inside my pocket and is dead by the middle or end of every single day… first battery was total junk and wouldn’t hold a charge for an hour… this company said if I leave it on the table and it’s charged the next day they can’t help. My partner got it for me for Christmas and it took her months to get them to tell her that. It is bright and had they made it right I would have gotten a different light."

Great light just no tail switch

"The light is just the right size. The light color looks white to me. The switch operation is easy to learn. Double click to lock and unlock. Click and hold for a short time to turn off. The only thng I miss: is no tail switch. The variaty of of briteness levels is perfect. It is a great light!"

Stuart B. (4/5)

you need calculus to turn it on

"dont buy for self defense. everytime i use the light these questions happen since i dont use it much: "how many button press is on?" then i click it a few times trying to figure it out from memory. then i use it and go to put it away. this triggers the same question, "how many button presses for off?". that being said, it is super bright."

"I love it"

Incredibly Bright

"This flashlight is compact, durable and incredibly bright. I mostly clip it to the brim of my hat - it’s light enough to barely notice the weight. I like that the battery can remain in the flashlight to be charged (I have another Fenix flashlight where the battery must be removed to charge). Great light, highly recommended."

Moses (5/5)

First Fenix light that is a big miss for me.

"First fenix light I genuinely hate. I have several, this is my 6th or so. The problem? Self activation in a pocket or elsewhere due to poor button placement and design. It should have a cover or a ring to make accidental presses impossible. Very frustrating. Outside of my return window or it would go back to the local store."

Great little light!

"Great Light! In my pocket everyday."
