The Fenix Flashlight MC11 is a Multi-Functional right Angle Light. We will be going over the specs and description of this Law enforcement flashlight. This is the 2014 edition of the MC11, it took the place of the MC10. This one has three different modes of operation: low, medium, and high. It does also have a burst mode. This light is going to be a favorite among any professionals in their trade or even recreational users around the house or in the field, whatever the case may be. Just uses one AA battery. You can use a regular non-rechargeable alkaline or even lithium non-rechargeable or nickel metal hydrate rechargeable in this Fenix flashlight.
So let's go over the features here. This light uses a Cree XP-G2 R5 LED with a rated lifespan of 50,000 hours. As mentioned before, it does have three modes of operation: low, medium, and high. So the low setting is 3 lumens, this will last 100 hours using an alkaline non-rechargeable battery. Next step up from there is 50 lumens which has a runtime of 4 hours and 45 minutes with the same alkaline battery non-rechargeable. And finally the high setting is 105 lumens that has a runtime of an 1 hour and 40 minutes with that same alkaline non-rechargeable.
It does also have a burst mode that will get up to 155 lumens. But it's only for a temporary length of time so after that time runs out on the burst mode, it'll just go back to the setting you used previously to accessing the burst. It is digitally regulated so it's going to maintain your constant brightness throughout all of those three modes of operation. It does have the reverse polarity protection like in many other Fenix flashlights to where it's really going to protect you against say, installing the battery incorrectly. So very easy to use there with all the cool features they have.
It's got the single button access at the very top of the light. That's going to allow you to turn it on, turn if off, as well as change your modes. Very easy, very fast to use. Now the burst mode is going to provide immediate access for the maximum output of 155 lumens. It also is made of the same aluminum alloy has premium type III hard-anodized anti-abrasive finish. It has a toughened ultra-clear glass lens with anti-reflective coating and a standard waterproof rating IPX-8. So that's going to give you waterproof rating for 6 and half feet for half an hour, 30 minutes.
Overall size of this light is going to be 3.9 inches in length. With the battery it's going to be about 3 and a half ounces, so not very big at all. You could pretty much put this anywhere, in a bag, your pocket, with a pocket clip you could put it in your pocket or even clip it to your hat for hands free operation. It's got a flat bottom so you could put it on a table for steady, constant output. So again, hands free operation there. With all the functions that it has as far as a lanyard, D-ring, and pocket clip, you can really put this anywhere. I've had mechanics come in to use this working on your vehicles, policemen want to put this on their vests so they can use the hands free operation as well. And with the ability to tilt the head like it does, it really makes it essential to put in your flashlight collection.
In speaking with other customers, calling to tell use their reviews or recommendations, they really seem to appreciate all the functions or features of this light with it having the adjustable head, the flat bottom to where you could set it on a table, clip it to your hat, vest, pocket, pretty much anywhere. And with it being on 3.9 inches long and 3 and a half ounces, there's no end to where you could store this or keep this or even use this pretty much anywhere. Even had people say they keep this in their vehicle for emergency situations, especially with being able to find AA batteries pretty much anywhere, probably the most commonly used battery. So really great choice when they came out with this one a few years ago.
