Q: What kind of LEDs are used in BC06R?

A: The BC06R uses CREE XP-E2 red LEDs.

Q: What is the working voltage of BC06R?

A: Operating voltage is 3.0~4.2V, limit operating voltage range: 2.8~4.2V.

Q: What is the viewing angle of BC06R?

A: The viewing angle is 270°，and the floodlight luminous angle is 106°.

Q: Is BC06R rechargeable? How long is the charging time?

A: BC06R is rechargeable with a USB Type-C charging port. The indicator will display red while charging and will turn green when fully charged. The charging time is about 2 hours.

Q: Can BC06R be used in severe weather such as rain and sandstorm?

A: BC06R features IP66 rated protection: fully protected against dust and foreign objects, can withstand heavy rain and splashes.

Q: BC06R will automatically reduce the brightness after using it for a while, and it can't light up higher gears, why is that?

A: When the voltage level drops below 3.0V, the light is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level. The battery level indicator blinks red at 3Hz to remind you to recharge the battery. To ensure normal use, the light will not turn off automatically and will work till the battery level runs out.

Q: Does the BC06R have a memory mode?

A: The light memorizes the last selected output excluding Braking. When turned on again, the previously used output will be recalled.

Q: How do you install the BC06R taillight

A:
Seatpost mount:

First loop the mounting strap (without LOGO) around one of the attachment ear of the seatpost mount, and place the seatpost mount(silicone pad thinner side face up) on the seatpost, then loop the other end of the mounting strap (with LOGO) around the other attachment ear of the seatpost mount, adjust as the size of the seat post. Finally, attach the BC06R taillight to the seatpost mount with the switch facing upwards.

Note: This taillight is applicable to bike seatpost diameters between 25.4mm - 31.6mm.

Saddle rail mount:

Place the saddle rail mount on the saddle rails of the bike. Thread a fastening tie through the top hole on one side of the mount, and tie the corresponding saddle rail and the saddle mount together. Repeat the same process for the other side. Trim any excess parts of the fastening ties. Attach the BC06R taillight to the saddle rail mount with the switch facing upwards.

The Fenix BC06R is a smart-brake bicycle taillight. This summary is drawn from the manufacturer's official user manual — see the downloadable PDF reference manual on the product page for complete details.

Warning

• The taillight is a high-intensity lighting device capable of causing eye damage to the user or others. Avoid shining the light directly into anyone's eyes.
• The LED of this light is not replaceable; the light will need to be replaced when the LED reaches the end of its lifespan.

Overview

• Smart brake sensing function — Braking output is 90 lumens with a 100-meter alerting distance
• Can be mounted on saddle rails or seatposts, with a quick-release structure for fast assembly/disassembly
• Built-in 560mAh battery, USB Type-C charging
• 270° lighting angle; multiple lighting modes to choose from
• Battery level indication; single-switch operation
• Size: 1.50'' x 1.50'' x 1.50'' / 38 x 38 x 38 mm (excluding mount). Weight: 1.57 oz / 44.5 g (including battery)

Operating Instructions

On/Off: press and hold the switch for 0.5 seconds to turn the light on/off.

Output Selection: with the light switched on, single click the switch to cycle through (Low) Constant-on → (Low) Slow flashing → (Low) Fast flashing → (High) Constant-on → (High) Slow flashing → (High) Fast flashing → Spinning.

Mode Switching: a sudden reduction in riding speed automatically triggers Braking mode; after two seconds the light recalls the previously used output. The light also memorizes the last selected output (excluding Braking) for next time it's turned on.

Charging

Turn off the light, open the anti-dust cover to reveal the USB Type-C port, and connect the charging cable. The indicator displays red while charging and turns green when fully charged — be sure to close the anti-dust cover afterward to maintain dust/water resistance. A full charge from depleted takes about 2 hours; recharge a stored light every four months to maintain optimum battery performance. The Constant-on Low mode can be operated while charging, but this prolongs the charging time.

Battery Level Indication

Each time the light is turned on (or via a single click while off), the indicator shows the battery status for 3 seconds: green on (saturated, 100–85%), green flashing (sufficient, 85–50%), red on (poor, 50–25%), red flashing (critical, 25–1%).

Technical Parameters

• Spinning: Output 10 lm, Runtime 22h, Intensity 5 cd
• Low (Constant-on / Slow flash / Fast flash): Output 10 lm, Intensity 5 cd — Runtime 12h30m / 14h30m / 24h30m respectively
• High (Constant-on / Slow flash / Fast flash): Output 30 lm, Intensity 15 cd — Runtime 5h / 5h / 8h respectively
• Braking: Output 90 lm, Intensity 30 cd

Alerting Distance: 100 meters | Lighting Angle: 270° | Impact Resistance: 1.5 meters | Waterproof: IP66

Note: Specs measured by Fenix using one built-in 560mAh battery at 21±3°C / 50–80% humidity; real-world performance varies.

Low Voltage Warning

When the voltage drops below 3.0V, the light downshifts to a lower brightness level and the battery indicator blinks red at 3Hz. The light will not turn off automatically and will keep working until the battery runs out.

Mounting Instructions

Seatpost mount: loop the mounting strap (without LOGO) around one attachment ear, place the mount (silicone pad thinner side up) on the seatpost, then loop the other end (with LOGO) around the other ear and adjust to size. Attach the BC06R to the mount with the switch facing upward. Applicable to seatpost diameters between 25.4mm and 31.6mm.

Saddle rail mount: place the mount on the saddle rails, thread a fastening tie through the top hole on each side to secure it to the rails, trim excess, then attach the BC06R with the switch facing upward. Applicable to saddle rail distances between 39.0mm and 50.0mm.

Usage and Maintenance

• Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage and will void the warranty.
• Recharge the battery promptly to ensure normal use next time, and recharge a stored light every four months.
• Flickering, intermittent shining, or failure to illuminate is usually due to a poor battery level — recharge the battery.
• If issues persist, contact your authorized distributor.
