A: A Luminus SFT25R LED with a lifespan of 50,000 hours.

Q. What is the color temperature of GL19R V2?

A: Around 6000K.

Q. What is the working voltage of GL19R V2?

A: The working voltage is 4.3 V - 4.2 V.

Q. Is GL19R V2 rechargeable? How long is the charging time?

A: Yes. The indicator will display red while charging and will turn green when fully charged. The GL19R V2 cannot be operated while charging. The normal charging time is approximately 2 hours from depleted to fully charged.

Q. How to prevent accidentally activate the GL19R V2?

A: Remove the battery to prevent accidental activation.

Q7. Why does the GL19R V2 step down a few lumens after being used for a while?

A: There are two reasons:

1. Intelligent Overheat Protection

The light will accumulate a lot of heat when used for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 60°C or above, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature.

2. Low-voltage Downshift

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the light is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level.

Q8. Why does the GL19R V2 happen to flicker?

A: The reasons that may cause the light to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate:

1. Poor battery level.

Solution: Recharge or replace the battery.

2. The contact or contact point of the battery or light is dirty.

Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

If the above methods don't work, please contact your authorized distributor.

Important Warnings

FAILURE TO READ AND FOLLOW THESE OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS WHEN HANDLING A FIREARM OR THE GL19R V2.0 CAN BE DANGEROUS AND CAN RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY, DAMAGE TO PROPERTY, OR DEATH.

Mounting

MAKE SURE THAT THE FIREARM IS UNLOADED AND THE BREECH IS OPEN. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT SAFETY MEASURES BE EMPLOYED AT ALL TIMES WHILE HANDLING THE FIREARM.

  • Make sure your firearm rail is Picatinny rail or Glock rail and choose the appropriate rail plate (Glock rail plate is mounted by default) — you can change the rail plate to make the tactical light more suitable for your firearm.
  • Open the QD lever, attach the light on the weapon's accessories rail, make sure the rail plate sits inside the slot, and close the QD lever.
  • Adjust the rail clamp bolt and make sure it is securely attached to the firearm.

Warning

  • Do NOT place this light in the reach of children!
  • Do NOT shine the light directly into the eyes of anyone!

When the light reaches a temperature of 60°C/140°F or above, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60°C/140°F, the light automatically recalls the previously used output level.

Low-Voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the light is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level. When the voltage level is still too low, the battery level indicator will blink red rapidly to remind you to recharge or replace the battery. *This feature only works with a Fenix ARB-L18-1100 18350 rechargeable battery.

Usage and Maintenance

  • Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.
  • Fenix recommends using an excellent quality battery.
  • If the light will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or the light could be damaged by electrolyte leakage or battery explosion.
  • If burnt powder residue coats the lens, try cleaning it with a glass cleaner or mild solvent.
  • Remove the battery to prevent accidental activation.
  • Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.
  • Since gun maintenance requires the use of organic solvents, organic solvents contaminating key internal components of the light may cause malfunctions, and the light will not receive normal warranty service.
  • Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the light's performance, as dirty contacts may cause the light to flicker, shine intermittently, or even fail to illuminate for the following reasons — A: Poor battery level. Solution: Replace or recharge the battery. B: The threads, PCB board contact or other contacts are dirty. Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol. Best weapon light i own so far

"This light is absolutely perfect. The throw is amazing, the brightness is unmatched, the unique switch is very easy to use without secondary thought, and the length of it is perfect to prevent lock up loss when press shooting a semi auto pistol. The absolute only complaint I have is that finding a compatible holster can be a little tricky, but, I have found that the gl19r v2 will oddly fit most holsters that were originally meant for TLR7 lights. Hope this helps anyone looking for a holster."

Chief Daniel Uncapher, ATPD

"The original GL19R was selected for the value/performance option. This had been a good light for weapon mounted purposes. Fenix upgraded to GL19R V2 under a warranty return. Fantastic service. Thank you, Fenix!"

Daniel U. (5/5)

Awesome light

"This light is awesome, fits all my holsters and is same size as the Surefire X300, but at a better price. I recommend this light and will be buying another in the future."

STEVEN K. (5/5)

While I still need to

"While I still need to take it to the range, it fit just right on my XD9. Activating it is pretty easy but I would mind a slight bit of resistance between on/off."

Steve O. (4/5)

Highly recommended

"I have the earlier model, the GL 19R, 5 of them in fact, they are great light with excellent range."

Joshua (5/5)

Fenix GL19R V2

"This is by far my best pic rail mounted light. This is a powerful light and weapon. I love the QD mount, it locks tight on proper spec aluminum and polymer rails without fail. The switches work perfectly and the extra different length levers is a great option to have when needed for different trigger guard-frame designs. The light output is extremely bright and range provides great visibility and safety."

Randy M. (5/5)

Exactly what I wanted

"As this is my first light for use on a firearm I didn't know exactly what I needed in terms of lumens, etc. , but this light turned out to be perfect."

Stephen B. (5/5)

Best WML on the market

"Just mounted the Fenix GL19R on my Glock 47 and it’s an absolute game-changer. 1200 lumens and a ridiculous 44,000 candela throw a tight, blinding beam that reaches way out past 200 yards while still flooding close-range perfectly. The light fits perfectly with the G47’s muzzle, just overhang enough to give my built a very tactical look, and the ambidextrous switches are fast and positive even with gloves. Battery life is excellent on the included 18350, and the quick-detach mount locks up rock-solid with zero wiggle. Build quality feels bomb-proof, and it’s IPX7 rated so rain and sweat are non-issues. If you run a Glock 47 (or 17/34 length pistols), this is hands-down the best tactical full size WML on the market right now. Bright, far-reaching, and perfectly sized. 10/10, no notes."

SPX (5/5)

New light

"Bought to replace the previous version of this light. Fits perfectly with my G17 and works great!!"

Daniel G. (5/5)

GL19R V2

"Build quality is excellent. Slightly bigger than the model it replaces so it might be a little large for use with compact pistols. However, it works perfectly with full size pistols and long guns. The activation switch seems superior to the original model and is quite easy to use. Availability of holsters is still a problem but there are several custom holster makers willing to accommodate your order."
