The Fenix TK11R is a compact tactical flashlight. This summary is drawn from the manufacturer's official user manual — see the downloadable PDF reference manual on the product page for complete details.
Warning
- Place this flashlight out of the reach of children.
- Do not shine the flashlight directly into the eyes of anyone.
- Do not place the light head near flammable objects, as high temperatures can cause objects to overheat and become flammable/ignite.
- Do not use the flashlight in inappropriate ways such as holding the unit in your mouth — if the battery were to fail while doing so, death or serious injury could result.
- This flashlight will accumulate a lot of heat while operating, resulting in a high temperature of the flashlight's outer case. Pay close attention to the thermal condition of the flashlight to avoid burns.
- Remove the battery from the flashlight to prevent accidental activation when the flashlight is placed in a closed-in, flammable environment such as pockets and backpacks.
- The LED of this flashlight is not replaceable; the whole flashlight will need to be replaced when the LED reaches the end of its lifespan.

Note: the above specifications are from the results produced by Fenix through its laboratory testing using the Fenix ARB-L18-3400 battery, under the temperature of 21±3°C and humidity of 50%-80%; the true performance of this product may vary according to different working environments and the actual battery used. *The High output is measured in total of runtime including output at reduced levels due to the built-in temperature protection mechanism.
Battery Specifications
- Fenix ARB-L18 (18650, 3.6V): Recommended.
- Non-rechargeable Lithium (CR123A, 3.0V): Emergency use.
- Other Li-ion battery (18650, 3.6V): Caution.
Note: 18650 Li-ion batteries are powerful cells designed for commercial applications and must be treated with caution and handled with care. Only using quality batteries with circuit protection will reduce the potential for combustion or explosion. Cell abuse or short circuiting are considered user-induced damage and are not covered by any Fenix warranty or liability.
Battery Replacement: unscrew the tail cap and insert the battery with the anode side (+) towards the light head, then screw the tail cap back on.
Charging
- First switch off the light and plug the USB A socket of the charging cable into an appropriate A/C powered USB plug/outlet, then connect the USB Type-C socket of the charging cable to the light.
- The indicator will display red while charging, and will turn green when fully charged.
- Once charging is completed, be sure to unplug the charging cable and close the anti-dust cover.
Note: when charging fails or the battery is inserted backwards, the battery indicator will flash red or stop working to notify the user to check the battery condition. The normal charging time is approximately 3.5 hours from depletion to fully charged. Recharge a stored light every four months to maintain optimum battery performance. It is strictly prohibited to charge a CR123A or a 16340 battery. These features (and battery level indication below) only work with a Fenix ARB-L18 battery.
Battery Level Indication
Each time the light is turned on, the indicator will indicate the battery level and will last for 3 seconds.
- Green light on: saturated, 100% - 85%.
- Green light flashes: sufficient, 85% - 50%.
- Red light on: poor, 50% - 25%.
- Red light flashes: critical, 25% - 1%.
Intelligent Overheat Protection
The lamp will accumulate a lot of heat when used at high output levels for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 65°C/149°F or above, it will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 65°C/149°F, it will then allow the user to select these heat-intensive modes again.
Low-Voltage Warning
When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the lamp is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Low output is reached. When this happens in Low output, the battery level indicator blinks red to remind you to replace or recharge the battery.
Usage and Maintenance
- Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.
- Fenix recommends using an excellent-quality battery.
- If the light will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or the light could be damaged by electrolyte leakage or battery explosion.
- Remove the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.
- Long-term use can result in O-ring wear; to maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.
- Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the lamp's performance, since dirty contacts may cause flickering, intermittent operation, or failure to illuminate.
