Operating Instructions
Modes and Outputs
- Mode A: Floodlight mode, stepless brightness and color temperature regulation.
- Mode B: Spotlight mode, stepless brightness regulation.
- Mode C: Spot-and-floodlight mode, stepless brightness and color temperature regulation.
- Mode D: Warning mode, D1: Red constant-on; D2: Red flash; D3: Red chase; D4: Yellow flash; D5: Green constant-on.
Mode Switching: With the lantern turned off, rotate the large rotary switch clockwise to turn it on into Mode A. Single click the electronic switch to cycle through Mode A → Mode B → Mode C. With the lantern turned off, press and hold the electronic switch for 0.5 seconds to cycle through the Warning mode, D1 → D2 → D3 → D4 → D5, and press and hold the electronic switch for 0.5 seconds again to turn off the lantern.
Output Selection and Light Color Adjustment: In Modes A, B, or C, rotate the large rotary switch clockwise to change the brightness from low to high, and counterclockwise to change it from high to low. In Modes A and C, rotate the small rotary switch clockwise to change the color temperature from cold to warm, and counterclockwise to change it from warm to cold.
Intelligent Memory Circuit
The lantern automatically memorizes the previously used mode, excluding the Warning mode. When turned on again, the previously used mode will be recalled. The lantern also memorizes the previously used color temperature of the Floodlight mode. When turned on again in Floodlight mode, the previously used color temperature will be recalled.
Notes: 1) The lantern does not memorize the last selected brightness level — when turned on again, it will activate on the Low output. 2) If the small rotary switch is rotated after the lantern is turned off, the lantern will not recall the previously selected color temperature when turned on again.

Warning: 21700 Li-ion batteries are powerful cells designed for commercial applications and must be handled with caution and care. Using low-quality batteries or mishandling batteries (such as short-circuiting or overheating) could lead to combustion and jeopardize the safety of users and property. Any adverse effects resulting from the use of low-quality batteries are not covered by the Fenix warranty.
Battery Replacement
Pull up the pulling ring at the lantern's bottom and unscrew it counterclockwise to open the battery cover. Insert the batteries with the cathode side (-) toward the inside, then screw the battery cover back on.
Charging
- Open the anti-dust cover and connect the USB-C end of the charging cable to the lantern.
- While charging, the battery level indicators flash from left to right to display charging status.
- Once charging is complete, all four indicators stay constant-on — unplug the charging cable and close the anti-dust cover.
Notes: 1) The lantern can be operated while charging. 2) Fast-charging protocols supported include USB-PD: PD3.0/PD2.0/QC3.0/QC2.0, and USB-A: QC3.0/QC2.0. 3) Discharge performance: at a 5V discharge output, the maximum discharge current is 3A; at 9V, 2A; at 12V, 1.5A. 4) The USB-A and USB-C ports can discharge simultaneously. 5) The USB-A port cannot discharge while the lantern is being recharged via the USB-C port.
Power Bank Function
- Open the anti-dust cover and connect the USB-A port and the charging cable to the device to be charged.
- While discharging, the battery level indicators light from left to right to display discharging status.
- When the battery level drops below a certain threshold, the lantern will automatically stop discharging.
Battery Level Indication
With the lantern switched off, single click the electronic switch to check the battery status. Each time the lantern is turned on, the indicator(s) will show the current battery level for 3 seconds.
- Four lights on: 100% - 80%
- Three lights on: 80% - 60%
- Two lights on: 60% - 40%
- One light on: 40% - 20%
- One light flashing: 20% - 1%
Low-Voltage Warning
When the battery voltage level drops below the preset level, one battery level indicator blinks to remind users to charge or replace the batteries in a timely manner. To ensure normal use, the lantern will not turn off automatically and will work until the batteries run out.
Intelligent Overheat Protection
The lantern will accumulate a lot of heat when used for extended periods. When the temperature reaches 54°C/129.2°F or above, it will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 54°C/129.2°F, the lantern will gradually recall the preset output level.
Usage and Maintenance
- Disassembling the sealed parts of the lantern can cause damage to it and will void the warranty.
- Fenix recommends using only high-quality batteries.
- If the lantern will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries, since they can be damaged by electrolyte leakage.
- Recharge a stored lantern every three months to maintain optimum battery performance.
- The lantern may flicker, shine intermittently, or fail to illuminate for these reasons — A) Poor battery level: recharge or replace the batteries. B) Dirty battery or lantern contact points: clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol. If neither resolves the issue, please contact the distributor.
Warning
- Do NOT place this lantern within the reach of children.
- Do NOT shine the lantern directly into anyone's eyes.
- Do NOT place the lantern near flammable objects — high temperatures can cause objects to overheat and ignite.
- Do NOT use the lantern in inappropriate ways, such as holding the unit in your mouth; doing so could cause serious personal injury or death if the lantern or internal batteries fail.
- This lantern will accumulate a significant amount of heat while operating, resulting in a high temperature of the lantern shell — pay close attention to avoid burns.
- Remove the batteries to prevent accidental activation when the lantern is placed in a closed, flammable environment such as a pocket or backpack.
- The LEDs of this lantern are not replaceable, so the whole lantern will need to be replaced when any one of the LEDs reaches the end of its lifespan.
