3. Lightweight magnesium material.

4. Two-way adjustable headband with an emergency whistle.

Q2. What kind of LEDs are used in HM62-T?

A: One Luminus SST40 white light LED and two 2835 red light LEDs; with a lifespan of 50,000 hours each.

Q3. What is the color temperature of HM62-T?

A: The color temperature is 4500-5000K.

Q4. What is the operating voltage of HM62-T?

A: The operating voltage is 2.85V-7.4V.

Q5. Is HM62-T rechargeable? How long is the charging time?

A: The included 3400mAh is rechargeable. Charge the battery by inserting the USB Type-C end of the charging cable into the battery’s charging port. Charging the Fenix ARB-L18-3400U V2.0 using a 5V/2A charging adapter (not included) takes approximately 3 hours from drained to full.

Q6. How do I prevent accidentally activating the HM62-T?

A. Lock out the switch: with the lamp switched off, press and hold the switch for 3 seconds, the lamp will blink 4 times on the Low output of white light mode to indicate locked status. To unlock with the lamp locked, press and hold the switch for 3 seconds, the lamp will be activated on the Low output of white light mode. In locked status, clicking or pressing the switches will activate 4 blinks on the Low output of white light mode to indicate locked status.

Q7. Why does the HM62-T downshift to a lower mode after being used for a while and the higher mode cannot be selected?

A: There are two reasons:

1. Intelligent Overheat Protection. The lamp will accumulate a lot of heat when used at relatively high output levels for extended periods. When the lamp reaches a temperature of 50°C or above, the lamp will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature.

2. Low-voltage Warning. When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the headlamp is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Eco output is reached.

Q8. Why does the HM62-T happen to flicker?

A: There are a couple of reasons that may cause the lamp to flicker, shine intermittently, or even fail to illuminate:

1: Poor battery level. Solution: Charging the battery or replace the battery (Ensure battery is inserted according to the manufacturer’s specifications).

2: The contact point or contact of the battery or headlamp is dirty. Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

If the above methods don’t work, please contact the distributor.

A: Fenix ARB-L18-3400U V2.0 battery is recommended but it is also compatible with 2 x CR123A batteries. Other Li-ion batteries are not recommended because the current and voltage output of other batteries may cause the headlamp to fail or not work properly.

Intelligent Overheat Protection

The lamp will accumulate a lot of heat when used at high output levels for extended periods. When the lamp reaches a temperature of 50°C/122°F or above, it will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 50°C/122°F, the lamp will gradually recall the preset output level.

Low-Voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the headlamp is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Low output is reached. When this happens at Low output, the lamp blinks 3 times every 5 minutes on the Low output of White light mode to remind users to recharge or replace the battery. Note: this only works with a Fenix ARB-L18 Series battery.

Headband Assembly

The headband is factory assembled by default. Rotate the dial clockwise to tighten the headband, and rotate the dial counterclockwise to loosen it. When the headband hits its maximum length, keep rotating the dial and the operation direction will reverse.

Usage and Maintenance

  • Disassembling the sealed body can cause damage to the lamp and will void the warranty.
  • Fenix recommends using an excellent quality Fenix battery.
  • If the lamp will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or the lamp could be damaged by electrolyte leakage.
  • Lock the lamp or take out the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.
  • Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the lamp's performance: A) The lamp is locked — press and hold the switch for 3 seconds to unlock. B) Poor battery level — recharge or replace. C) Dirty contacts — clean with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol. If the above methods don't work, contact the distributor.

Feels a little bigger than the picture

"Bought for Mechanic work. Sometimes go into tight space. like 18650 and charging options but feels a little big when put on. Overall, very good light."

Myoungjin L. (4/5)

Great light

"I love this head light. It is powerful, light weight, and easy to run in. I want to get a waist light next."

Jason G. (5/5)

"It's plenty light enough, and bright enough to be a really good jogging /running headlight. It does exactly what I need to do."

John (5/5)

"Good amount of light for hiking just on medium or high, turbo is so bright, great for short stints of the sun!"

Matthew (5/5)

Great headlamp

"Gift for my husband who thinks this is the best contraption ever"

Jane F. (5/5)

Do-it-all headlamp

"No other headlamp I know of is as lightweight, long-lasting, and bright as this one. It lives up to the specs. It’s a miracle lamp. It’s also very comfortable and easy to use. the “boa” system is really convenient. The only thing that is inconvenient is the charging. There is no port on the lamp, so you have to take the battery itself out (which has a usb-c input). But I have decided to just get an extra battery and dual charger to make swapping easy. I will be carrying this for all of my running, climbing, backpacking, etc. even have been using every day use and around the house for repairs it’s so good."

Alex A. (5/5)

Great little light

"I am both an ultra runner and electrician, and I use this light in both capacities, and I love it. I had another Fenix light that was stolen, and this one is slightly smaller and lighter, and I like it more."

Stephen B. (5/5)

Love the light, not the headband

"The headband doesn’t go loose enough to wear over my hat without being too tight. I prefer the standard headband. The light on the other hand is excellent! My favorite headlight I’ve ever had. I keep it on second brightness most the night and it lasts a good two working nights (roughly 10 hrs)."

Colby W. (4/5)

Late Night Dog Walks

"Great heaadlight. Use it after dark for walking the dogss. Fully illuminates the dark hollow where we walk."

Reni S. (5/5)

Impressive

"This headlamp is EXTREMELY IMPRESSIVE!! It is very comfortable to wear, not heavy. Extremely bright light!!"
